Local Athletics Field and Facility Rentals

Perfect for local leagues, practices, or one-time field use within Chesterfield. Examples: pickleball, tennis courts, diamond fields, rectangle fields, synthetic turf fields

  1. Review Available Facilities – Explore fields, gyms, and courts available through Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation.
  2. Check Availability – Contact the Sports, Visitation, and Entertainment.
  3. Submit Your Request – Complete the Local Athletics Facilities Request Form
  4. Confirm and Pay Fees – A representative will follow up to confirm availability, pricing, and finalize your booking.
  5. Plan Your Event – Coordinate any additional needs like concessions, field prep, or lighting.
  1. The organization contact is the only individual authorized to make changes to the rental.
  2. Request must be submitted no less than five business days prior to use
  3. Submission of request does not guarantee approval.
  4. Communication will only be done with the main contact person listed on this application.
Special Events (Festivals, Community Gatherings, etc.)

For public gatherings, festivals, charity walks, or community celebrations held at county parks or on county property, including the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds and Chesterfield County Public Schools.

  1. Determine Your Venue – Identify the park or location where you’d like to host your event.
  2. Review Event Guidelines – Read the Special Event Permit Guidelines to ensure your event meets county requirements.
  3. Submit a Special Event Application – Complete the Special Event Inquiry Form.
  4. Coordinate with Staff – Our event coordinators will review your application and assist with permits, safety measures, and logistics.
  5. Finalize and Promote – Once approved, finalize any vendor details and start promoting your event!
  1. The Special Event Application is due at least 30 days prior to the proposed set-up date.
  2. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age to complete the application.
  3. All required licenses and certificates of insurance shall be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event set-up date. 
  4. Certificates of insurance (COI) should be supplied from the event organizer and all vendors in the amount of $1 million and must name Chesterfield County, its elected officials, employees, agents and volunteers as additional insured with respect to the General Liability Policy.
  5. Beginning in 2026, the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds will no longer permit events with more than 2,500 attendees.
Out-of-Town Tournaments
